Comic Relief Non Uniform

This Friday 24th March is Comic Relief Red Nose Day when we raise money for disadvantaged young people at home and in other countries. You can wear non-uniform on Friday by making a donation during registration on Friday. Please remember that non-uniform does not include football colours or inappropriate clothing including text that might offend others. Let’s do as much as we can to raise money for this great cause, don’t forget that we will also be having great events and games going on, this year we will be incorporating the and poker options.

Basketball success 

Congratulations to our senior Basketball team who had great success on Thursday when they won the Scottish Cup at the Oriam, Heriot Watt University against a very good team from Hillhead High School they ran out 103-54 winners. The winners were supported on the day by supporters from Stirling High and by former pupil Kieron Achara.(picture attached)

Community Football

Our Community Football Programme for S1, S2 and S3 pupils continues on Fridays from 7pm-8pm for all S1, S2 and S3 pupils. This will takes place on the astro pitch. The programme is being supported by Police Scotland and will involve football coaches. Snacks and refreshments will be provided for free. Come along, enjoy and improve your skills. Red Nose Day–Friday 24 March -Teacher’s v Pupils Volleyball

Any S4/S5 & S6 pupil interested in playing in a volleyball game against teaching staff on Red Nose Day please sign up with Miss Todd in Geography.

The club continues to run on Thursday lunchtimes in room 105. Everyone is welcome.

Young Enterprise Success

Congratulations to S5 Young Enterprise team Bee Positive who won Best Business in the Community, Best Trade Stand and Most Innovative Product at the Young Enterprise Forth Valley Awards last Wednesday night.  The team partnered with Plan Bee Ltd, an innovative business who work with businesses to install Bee Hives.  As a result of the team’s partnership with Plan Bee, the Thistle Centre have agreed to install hives on their roof in partnership with Stirling High School by finding the best way to install it learning from a Palm Beach Roofing Expert Blog where is show the best way to do it.  Thanks to Ian Wandless, Business Advisor and Ms Campbell, Link Teacher, for supporting the team.

Colours Awards
