Last week, 5 business leaders inspired our 250 S5 and S6 pupils by talking to them about their careers and the changing job market.  They heard brilliant advice from current employers about recruitment and the skills needed to thrive in today’s workforce.  Our thanks to our speakers: David Frame, Group Managing Director – B&D Group; Darina Garland – Director Uuni, Suklaa and Oppi Festiva; Alan Stewart – Divisional Director of Engineering and Operational Support at The Weir Group PLC; Colin Woodward – Chairman at Contract Scotland responsible for International Recruitment & Constructing Futures and Robin Head – Laser Engineer at M Squared Lasers. Head Digital Champion appointed

Congratulations to Ella Mackie, S2, who has been appointed Head Digital Champion.  Ella will lead the team of S1 and S2 Digital Champions who are working together to grow the digital culture in Stirling High. (photo attached)

Developing Scotland’s Young Workforce

An information evening regarding the above will be held in Stirling High School on Tuesday 17 October at 7pm.   There will be various workshop sessions throughout the evening with input from our careers advisor, representatives from various universities will be available to discuss courses and the opportunity to hear from employers what skills and attributes they would be looking for in potential employees.

Autumn Break

School will be closed from Monday 9 October to Friday 13 October inclusive.   Pupils will return to school on Monday 16 October at 8.45am sharp.
