Left school
June 2009.
Senior Phase
I left school with Highers (SCQF level 6) in Art, Music: Performing, Graphic Communication, Computing and RMPS.
Choosing my Destination
My peers and senior colleagues helped me choose my destination.
Extra Curricular & Work Experience
Sports and music; I learned a lot about personal relationships in extra-curricular activities. Its more important than professional relationships and much harder to teach.
Skills I've developed
Project management, business development, strategy management, SQL development, program management and change management. I learned all of these skills by always knowing that your comfort zone never exists. This is something that comes from feeling comfortable at school to try new things but also being confident in failing, it's okay not to win first time but learn from your mistakes, do your research and try again.
My Advice
Don't worry what anyone else thinks, bring yourself to the table every day. if it doesn't work out, that's fine, as long as you know in you that you couldn't do any more then you did and you have no excuses, that's all that matters. But.. admit when your wrong and understand what you could do better.
It's not always about loving the concept, it's about loving the process to make the concept work. Process make up everything we do, so if you love the process, you'll always love the outcome.
