About me
I completed an NC Early Education and Childcare level 6 before going on to complete an SVQ in Social Services (Children and Young People) in December 2020 at Lathallan Nursery Johnshaven. After graduating I have worked as an Early Years Practitioner for over 2 years at the Croft Nurseries LTD. (Chapelton) and have also completed a TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Behaviour that Challenges in Children (RQF) (Online through West Scotland College in February 2022).

Senior Phase
I achieved Higher (SCQF level 6) English, National 5 (SCQF level 5) Design and Manufacture, Art & Design, Biology, English and Maths and National 4 (SCQF level 4) Art and Design, French and History.
Choosing my Destination
I spoke to my careers advisor and pupil Support Teacher for pathways in to Education.
Extra Curricular & Work Experience
Participating and chairing meetings for the school ECO Club has helped me gain confidence in learning about making a positive impact on children and young people’s lives.
Skills I've developed
Communication skills and collaboration skills have supported me to become a better practitioner as they help me be mindful of the importance that this can have on the development of children and young people in their earliest years . They have also helped me support new members of staff in gaining knowledge and confidence in the jobs they do on a day to day basis.
My Advice
Believe that you can make it no matter which way you achieve your goals.
